Solitude of Silence

May 8, 2014 By Cathy Miller 4 Comments

Solitude of Silence PostWe interrupt this blog for a little creative (hopefully) writing.

Solitude of Silence

Seek the solitude of silence, muted  in a world of screaming sound

Silence with its own sound, beneath an echoing journey of time

Elusive, hidden, forgotten − wrapped in a comforting embrace

Silence seeking its own time, removed from all it surrounds

Do you hear it? Feel it? Will you let it in?

Silence waits in the chambers of the heart, sustaining what we know

Elusive, hidden, forgotten − in a world of screaming sound

I love silence… wish I could find more of it in this noisy world… often these days I have to look inside for it.

Me, too, Anne. And then there is that voice inside our heads that could use silencing ever so often. 😉

For me, silence comes when I relax. If I sit on that garden swing for five minutes, my mind quiets down and the ideas come flying in.

Being outside is truly inspirational for me as well, Lori. I get very cranky without my daily walks. 😉
